Quick and Easy Facelifts For Your Website

You've decided to take the plunge and create your own home page.

You have a pretty good idea of the kind of information you want on your page plus, where and how you want it placed. Deciding on what content to include on your home page is one thing. The next phase in the page building process -layout- usually requires a bit more work.

Where do I place graphics, what about navigational icons, (up and down) horizontal break lines, (to separate sections or topics) cubes or balls to highlight a hypertext link and backgrounds to avoid the usual white and gray standards. These graphic additions make your home page much more appealing, easy to maneuver and break up text on a screen.

But before you reach the point where you start building your home page, wouldn't it be nice to have at your fingertips some sites where you can easily get all of these extra touches. The last thing you need to do while your HTML editor is open is to go hunting for buttons, bars, icons and cubes and backgrounds.

A cautionary note. Before using any type of graphics be aware of copyright issues. Graphics, buttons, cubes and bars used for personal, nonprofit or education are usually free. Some graphic creators ask for a link to their home page or for you to place some prepared HTML code into your page, which will explain where the graphics came from.

Here are some sites that will make your pages more attractive and interesting.
