Vehicle Information Services (VIS) has announced strategic marketing partnerships with The San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner, The Orange County Register, The Fort Worth Star Telegram and other newspapers around the country. The marketing partnerships are expected to enhance the newspapers Internet platforms and solidify advertising dollars on the newspaper's web sites.
VIS offer's new (1997) and used vehicle databases (back to 1985), Internet consulting, web publishing and information content to newspapers with or without web sites. VIS also provides Internet information systems support for these products and services. The arrangement expands the newspaper's product offerings to advertisers, while increasing sales coverage for their platforms and business opportunities. Communication's will be established between VIS and the newspapers to facilitate the transition of advertising for the newspaper's clients.
According to company Vice President, Paul Meek, "Our mission is to form strategic alliances with newspapers and to solidify marketing partnerships with national and local automotive companies for the purpose of increasing revenue for both the newspaper and VIS."

about the VIS
- A graphic arts staff to continue the newspapers VIS section,
programmers for interactive advertising and informational pages
- Database tracking based on persons Name and Address
