Get the Phacts on the Pharaohs and Have Some Phun

One of the oldest vacation spots in history now has a new attraction called Tour Egypt. Tour Egypt is the official site of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and The Egypt Tourism Authority.

Tour Egypt delivers friendly navigation that lets one plan a complete itinerary to Egypt; it reveals all the wonders of Egypt
without a lot of digging around. With over 2500 pages, the site
contains expert travel advice including logistical details such as
popular tourist destinations, hotel listings, porter service
availability at airports, business hours, customs, holidays,
festivals and food. Before traveling, visitors can even listen to
audio links delivering common Egyptian expressions in Arabic or
study the printed English translations.

If clicking through photos of Egypt's famous desert monuments leaves you thirsting for liquid adventure take a dip at The Red Sea Virtual Diving Center. Magnificent photos prove not all of the area's riches are buried underground. Many modern jewels can be
found underwater at some of the most vibrant and unspoiled coral
reefs in the world. Extensive area shipwreck history, maps and dive
tour schedules are published so travelers can thoroughly evaluate
their options.

For researchers and historians, Tour Egypt includes 500 pages of
Egyptian history making the site one of the most comprehensive
online references for the Pharaonic period of Egypt spanning
Predynastic Period (2920 BCE) to the Graeco-Roman Period  (304 BCE). Also online is The Egyptian Book of the Dead and a history of the Ancient Egyptian Gods including a glossary of Egyptian terms.
Arrangements are being made to publish archaeological updates and findings online.

Contest: A trivia contest begins February 1, 1997. Participants will
be asked to answer one question monthly for six months, monthly
winners will be entered into the drawing for the grand prize. A new
grand prize trip to Egypt will be given away every six months.
