Job Openings Available  Family and Child Service of Schenectady, 246 Union St. is offering jobs for persons who can help care for children for a few hours when needed; can shop for families; can keep company with a homebound plus other needs.  Pay is $8.00 per hour.  If interested, call Cindy at 393.1369 for more information.

Sacrament of Confirmation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church on Sunday, April 21 at 3:00pm.  Being confirmed from our church are:  Amanda Bradt, John Knok III and Michelle Kopczynski.  All are welcome.

On Tuesday Evening April 30th, Fr. Edward Deimeke will conduct an evening of reflection followed by a mass, for all Eucharistic Ministers.  Cost for the evening is $22.00, and includes supper at 6:30pm.  Please send in your reservations as soon as possible tot eh Dominican Retreat house, 1945 Union Street, Schenectady NY  12309.

Food Pantry  406 individuals were served in March.

A Liturgy of Healing and Anointing  for anyone living with HIV and AIDS, and other illnesses will be celebrated by Bishop Hubbard on April 21st at 1:00 p.m., Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 900 Madison Ave., Albany.  A reception will follow the mass.  All are invited.

Sunday, May 5th  the annual Crop Walk will take place.  We need walkers.  There is a sign-up sheet on the communion rail.  More details will follow.  We received over $2,000 from last year's walk.  $428.00 was received, also, by the Pantry.  This was from the souper bowl drive.  Many thanks to all for your support.

A training will take place at Mount Olivet Church, 809 Strong Street, April 16th 6:30 - 8:30 regarding efforts of ARISE, to work together for a stronger community.  For more information, call Sharon  331.7341 or Lucia 393.2434.

Fr. Gerry  will continue the Spanish Mass, Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  All are welcome.

Camp Scully operated by Catholic Charities of Albany & Rensselaer Counties of the Diocese of Albany, is now accepting job applications for the summer 2002.  Job Openings include:  Male and female camp counselors, lifeguards (min age 18 years old).  Summer Employment:  June 14 - August 14, 2002.  Jobs can be obtained by calling the Camp's business office at 518.426.3511 or write to:  Camp Scully Office, 100 Slingerland St., Albany, NY  12202
