GOAL 1: Calls us to give priority to our own spiritual renewal and to deepen our

own relationship with Jesus.

GOAL 2: Its basic mode is invitation and calls us to hone our skills for outreach to

make our communities more welcoming and hospitable.

GOAL 3: Calls us to foster Gospel values in our society, to actualize our faith in the

every day.

 

How these goals are already fulfilled and lived out in our parish communities?

•           Novenas – 6 different Novenas at four churches:

                        Miraculous Medal                       SJE and SJB

                        Perpetual Help                           SA

                        Diving Mercy                              SA

                        St. Anthony                               SA

                        St. Jude                                    SA

 

•           Bible Study –     Three Different groups at SJB

                                    Two Different groups at SJE

            Liturgy of Hours – SA

*Average age of attendees is between 65 and 70 years old. There was concern that younger people did not attend these prayer opportunities and discussion about how to get younger people attracted to some form of prayer.

 

What skills, training, and resources do we need to develop them more completely?

•           Religious currently teaching Bible study

 

What can we do immediately to better fulfill the goals of evangelization?

•           Need ways to welcome and recognize that things are done well.

            Increase Prayer at home

            Connect – not disconnect – not only faith but daily life.

 

What are our preliminary recommendations for the future of this planning group to

better fulfill the three goals of Evangelization?

•           Make Churches vibrant for youth and young adults with family.

            Will this process choke any vibrant ideas that come from these meetings.

           

•           Critical issues:

                        Growth

                        Vitality – participation

                        Resources – enough money, physical plants and priests.
