coming and providing music for the event on THURSDAY OCT.18th. It
was not decided on how our parish would be represented at this gathering.
There
was discussion regarding our new Today’s Missile and the Breaking
Bread books which we are currently using The old BB books will remain in
the pews. The new books should be shipped to us shortly,
Roy Bordeau
stated that Fr. Carlino reported the diocese will be sending out notices
to parishes that the approved Advent color will now be purple and the color
previously used (blue) is not to be used. Eileen will contact Albany to
see if we can get a color swatch to be sure we will be using the proper shade
of purple,
Cassandra
noted that there are six artificial Christmas trees taking up valuable storage
space in the sacristy,. Fred will see that the trees are removed.
Father
Schmidt has stated that he does not think having the St. John the Baptist
banner on the altar during Advent is a good idea. The Advent wreath will
be placed in front of the altar table on a pedestal at an angle,.

In closing
Rick stated "There was much concern expressed about the fact that
there was no representation from any member of the folk group. It is
understood that personal schedules interfere at times, however the work of the
Liturgy Committee and the parish must continue. Decisions must be
made"
