Luke 9:18-20

18 Once when Jesus was praying in solitude, and the disciples were with him, he questioned them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"

19 They answered in reply, "John the Baptist, and others say Elijah; still others, that one of the prophets of old has risen again."

20 And He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Peter answered and said, "The Messiah of God."

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are different ministrations, and the same Lord.

6 And there are works, but the same God, who accomplishes all of them in everyone.

7 To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

8 For to one the Spirit gives wisdom in discourse; and to another the power to express knowledge.

9 Through the Spirit one receives faith; by the same Spirit another is given the gift of healing; and still another miraculous powers.

10 Prophecy is given to one; to another power to distinguish one spirit from another. One receives the gift of tongues and to another that of interpreting the tongues.

11 But it is one and the same spirit who produces all these gifts, distributing them to each as he wills.
