In
1988, we purchased an IVECO Van through a grant awarded us by New York State. We maintain
all expenses related to the vehicle so there is no cost to the tax payers. This van now
serves as our principle field command post and transports members and search dogs. It also
houses medical, rescue and survival
equipment necessary to effectively and efficiently conduct a search. Searches are
controlled via radio from the command post to team members in the field.
In 1997, we received a 1989 Chevy Suburban equipped with a 40 ft. telescoping antenna. We have remodeled the truck to use as a first response vehicle and to serve as a communications link in the field. |
