Synopsis: Volume 1 Issue 3
Mercedes visits with her mentally ill friend Yolanda, who has apparently been driven insane by Radiant City. Mercedes is aware that the city has destroyed many others,
but that she herself appears to be immune. Mister X is back in Mercedes' apartment, feverishly scribbling formulae and diagrams on any surface he can find. Mercedes
arrives home just in time to watch Mister X accidentally blow the apartment up, nearly killing himself. At the hospital, Mercedes desperately tries to warn the doctors
about Mister X's sleeplessness serum, but they figure she's hysterical, and they sedate her before she can explain. They proceed to perform surgery on Mister X,
oblivious to the fact that their anaesthesia may not put him under.
