APRIL 28,  2007

This years’  March For Parks promises to be a stellar event.  Our theme will be "Saluting America's First Veterans". The noted Military artist, Don Troiani, has given permission to use his picture of "Morgan's Rifleman on our T-Shirts. He has only allowed this one other time.  The shirts will be on display at the Visitors Center sometime in March. This will be a limited edition.  Anyone pledging or donating $28 will receive one.  There will be other gifts available for other denominations. Phil Bayly from Channel 13 will be Master Of Ceremonies again this year. New to the March this year will be a "History Mystery Tour".  Participants will search for clues provided by Park Rangers along the tour road.  A drawing from those who correctly solve the mystery will win a prize. Donations to the Silent Auction are already coming in.  Included are hotels, restaurants, framed photos, museum admissions, etc.  If anyone wishes to make a donation, either in money or Auction item, please contact Doris Olszewski 587-6178 and she  will be happy to arrange pick-up if necessary.  . Hot dogs, soda and ice cream will be free to marchers, and for a nominal donation for non-pledgers. This is our main fund raiser.  All proceeds go to bring free programs to the public and other projects at the park. Please come and help honor our American Veterans past and present.
